Students teams working on Green STEM projects competed in the Hughes STEM School Showcase. Among the teams were a fuel cell car assembly and demonstration and a circuit project to demonstrate conductivity with fruits, vegetables and people. Parents, family members, and community leaders reviewed projects assessed by a panel of judges to evaluate learning goals and presentation of the projects. Many thanks to science teacher Grace Conrad and Environmental ALI educator Susan VonderHaar for facilitating the process. Also many thanks Principal Kathy Wright, Duke Energy Foundation and the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation.
